Digital Intersections Around Science Collections – online conference session

By Rebekah Higgitt and Sarah Middle

The following video is a recording of a session that took place today as part of the British Society for the History of Science Digital Festival 2023. In the first part of the session, we introduce the Tools of Knowledge project, our approach and some of the digital tools and platforms that we have been using, including Arches, Recogito and Zooniverse. This was aimed at an audience primarily of historians of science who might not be familiar with these ways of working. The second part is on the Communities and Crowds project, exploring volunteer-led crowdsourcing projects and based at the National Science and Media Museum in collaboration with Zooniverse.
